Helene Tenzer is Associate Professor of International Business at Tübingen University in Germany. Prior to joining the department, she earned a Masters in international cultural and business studies and a PhD in intercultural communication. Her research focuses primarily on language diversity in international management, multinational teams, and leadership in multinational organisations. Specific topics include the influence of language on knowledge processing, trust building, and power relations in multinational teams, language-based choice of communication media in virtual collaboration or leadership strategies to manage emotions in a multilingual workforce. The overall goal of her studies is to extend international business and organizational behaviour theory to multilingual contexts. She has published on these topics in outlets such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Leadership Quarterly, and Journal of World Business. In addition, she has founded a research network on language issues in management with currently over 100 international members.
