Ilya RP Cuypers is an Associate Professor of Strategy at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University. He received his PhD in strategic management and international business from Tilburg University, the Netherlands. He works in the areas of strategic management and international business. Specifically, his current research focuses on the governance, dynamics and performance implications of (cross-border) external corporate development activities (e.g., acquisitions, alliances and joint ventures), investment decisions under uncertainty, and issues related to interorganizational ties. His work has been published in journals such as Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal and Journal of International Business Studies. He is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Global Strategy Journal and Journal of World Business, and he currently serves as Guest Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies.
