Rajesh S Upadhyayula is an Associate Professor and Department Chair, Strategic Management Area at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He is a post-graduate from IIFM Bhopal and a Phd from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Rajesh’s work focuses on the underpinnings of economic geography (industrial clusters), subnational institutions, internationalization, corporate governance and firm strategy. His research appeared in Journal of International Management, Industry & Innovation, Advances in International Management, International Journal of Human Resources Management amongst others. He is on the editorial review board of Journal of World Business. Before joining academia, he worked as a Manager, Think Tank, a strategic planning wing at Tata Consultancy Service, Asia’s Largest software services firm. Additionally, he was also instrumental in setting up the Sales / Market Intelligence desk at TCS.
